Booking - Disgusting filthy and dangerous

apartment was listed on booking.com as a fab modern 2 bed place with 10/10 reviews. Was a filthy damp mouldy hovel with nothing in it as described.

Total con. They ignore all my messages . I've requested a charge back from my bank but they should not get away with it. We were shocked and disgusted, this is my review :dont go!Dont go!

ne small room with a tiny ensuite. There was not a bedroom, there was no dining table, the kitchen was not fully equipped. there was 1 bed, with bedding, and a tiny sofa bed with NO BEDDING despite me contacting the place on booking to check there were beds for 4 people and bedding and linen included.

The sofa bed was tiny, bare, not even a pillow. I texted the property and was told they would not do anything that night but would bring them next day. i said that wasn't good enough, how can my kids sleep on a sofa with no bedding. They didnt reply.

My children had to sleep without any bedding, and they had an awful night and were freezing cold. (There was 1 small oil radiator in the damp cold room) They didn't even bring them the NEXT night and my hubby and I slept on the narrow, short sofa bed in our coats and jeans that night, I sent several texts asking where the promised bedding was and was ignored. There was 1 light bulb in the whole place, the cooker filthy and ancient and my daughter got an electric shock from it. The bathroom was filthy, mould up walls, grime everywhere and thick yellow stuff stuck to the pan of the toilet.

It was that damp the loo roll was wet. No hot water for a shower Saturday morning, had to have cold ones. The "fully equipped" kitchen consisted of 4 knives forks spoons, 2 bowls, 2 plates, 3 glasses, one chipped, a chopping board and knife and a filthy scraped to death frying pan. no dining area as was stated, not even one chair to sit on.

There were wires going from behind a wardrobe , across the floor and under the bed to an extension lead, a trip hazard, gaps in the floor, filth everywhere on the floor, skirting, walls, etc etc.

The main door lock was hanging off.

My son was ill Sunday morning and my daughter has been ill since we got home.

It caused issues with my family as I was asked how did I book such a disgusting place, well it didnt look like that on the listing and of course so many things it said are not true. Garden?? where?

There was even a big row Saturday night as I was not going to let my children sleep on a small sofa without bedding again and they didnt want their 62 yr old Mum and Dad sleeping on it. The entire weekend was miserable, when it should have been fun.

I'd have gone straight home Saturday morning if it wasn't that my son and hubby had got tickets for the Bradford Reading game so I didnt want to drive home and back again the next day and saturday night after no sleep and all the upset I did not want to drive back in the dark after the game Saturday. (My husband doesn't drive)

We normally do not want to come home while away but we were relieved to get out. My family keep saying, I cannot believe anyone could think it is acceptable to charge people to stay in a hovel like that.

It also said free onsite parking on the listing, several times. When I messaged them 2 days before to ask where i park, they said there is no parking, you can park on the street outside until 8 am!!!

I said I will have to cancel, and was in the process of booking a different place when they messaged back and said theyd "pulled some strings" and had sorted parking for me for the weekend outside offices next door .

They send photos of where to park.

On arrival, when I parked I noticed that there was a parking notice saying permit holders only and anyone without agree to pay £90 parking fine. I contacted them as was worried and they said oh its fine, its been arranged.

However when I broached the subject with them yesterday, again, and gave my car reg in, they said, that last week, the vehicle registration you provided was notified as agreed. However rest assured it should all be fine you will not get a fine.

Well I didn't even GIVE them my reg until after I got home.

When I told them all this they said that everything on the listing was correct. I see someone else, Grzegorz, has had the "pleasure" of staying there also and has virtually said the same as me!

Its inconceivable that anyone can expect someone to pay to stay in a place like this.

I have stayed in many basic rooms, I've stayed at Pontins tons of times. Pontins is like The Ritz compared to this. It was that damp the loo rolls were wet in the bathroom. It was pure filth and it is advertised as a home from home, a "modern" ???

apartment to suit all your needs. Hardly anything on the list of amenities is actually there!! Booking.com should pull it from the site. The good reviews are obviously from them themselves as it is a new listing.

It should be puled and health inspectors sent round to see it. It is truly vile. Do not go.
